Plaque of a man of the class of 1914 called up on September 12, 1914 but not reporting within 10 days, classified as a deserter before surrendering to the colors on December 26, 1914.
On January 23, 1915, he was assigned to the 11th Light Infantry Battalion of Africa, then to the 5th Battalion on November 2, 1918.
Between 1915 and 1918 he was declared a deserter three times, but each time he was returned to the army corps within a month of his desertion.
