La cervelière fait son apparition lors de l'hiver 1914 et fût produite à 700.000 exemplaire. servant à protéger la tête du soldat, elle se porte sous le képi. Mais sont coté très inconfortable et offrant une protection très minimale elle sera rapidement remplacée par le casque Adrian m15 courant 1915.
cette cervelière sort d'un grenier secteur de St Mihiel
bien que des traces de rouilles soient visibles, elle reste néanmoins solide et ne part pas en miette. elle mériterait un nettoyage.. ou pas. la trace sur le pourtour, à environ 1cm du bas, est due au fait qu'il y en avait une seconde empilé dessus, en moins bon état puisque plus exposé aux dommages du temps..
une très belle pièce historiques, difficile à trouver. définitive dans une collection.

this cervelière comes out of an attic sector of St Mihiel
